An interesting graph showing a sharp decrease in net foreign assets when the central bank of Australia and Sweden increase net domestic assets. I am not an international accountant, but aren't these two values additive inverses (HT: math friend Steve C.)
My guess is that they are only additive inverses if expressed as a percentage of total assets, which in this graph they are not.
@Anon - Okay, I see. the net domestic assets have to do with borrowing and lending from central bank to commercial banks whereas net foreign assets have to do with ownership of assets.Post a Comment
