When the time comes for us to leave the great state of Texas, there are a few things I won't miss that much. One of them is the twister. In the seven years we have owned our house, three twisters have touched down within three miles of us - each time the twister bounced over our house and hit some other sucker. In the great lottery of life, it seems I am tempting fate and need to get out before my ticket is punched.
Last night's storms brought a small twister to the town of Dalworthington Gardens, a town subsumed by Arlington, and about 2.5 miles south of Hacienda Depken.
Too close for comfort.
