On Black Friday, the Depken clan headed to Dallas to visit the Dallas World Aquarium. It cost us $34 to get in and we were done in approximately 35 minutes. I wanted to demand a refund, but cooler heads prevailed. I consider it the worst money spent in ten years of living in the Metroplex. The DWA is less aquarium and more a terrarium, with considerable resources spent on a "rain forest" display that is less than entertaining, especially for a 2.5 year old.
The entire experience, which might be unique to us and our station in life, can be summed up in the following picture I took amongst the few tanks of fish actually on display:
