I get a kick out of reading the papers my undergraduate econometrics students write. While there is a variance in quality, in general the papers are interesting if not momentous. What is really neat is to see the names of folks I know (personally or professionally) in the reference lists.
This semester was no different. The names I recognized:
Frank Stephenson - Berry College
Frank Scott - University of Kentucky
Ron Warren - University of Georgia
Jac Heckelman - Wake Forest
Dave Berri - Cal State Bakersfield
Robert Lawson - Capital University
Not too shabby when folks I know are cited (without my direction) by my undergraduates. Now, does this say more about me or about others?
