Wonder where all the kids are? My contention has long been that one of the side effects of the mandatory child seat laws, which have been accompanied by an ever growing "normal" child seat, has been the rise of the SUV. I say this without any strong empirical evidence although that sounds like a good dissertation idea.
It is interesting that more kids are injured in roll-overs but roll-over accidents are such a small percentage of total accidents.
Another example of trying to do good through regulation in one area but causing unintended consequences in another?
