This is what I get when I fire up the Transportation Safety Administration's website. It looks "great" in IE but not in Opera.
According to the Yes/No list of what you can bring on the plane, you can carry on knitting needles but not pudding.
Reports have it that deplaning is taking a lot less time because of the lack of carry-on luggage. I have made this contention for quite some time. If the carry-on luggage was done away with and everything was put in the belly of the plane a) the on-time record of airlines might improve, b) the grumpiness of people like me who are stuck in the back of the plane would be reduced, c) the airlines could easier charge for more/heavier luggage, d) if everyone has to check their bags the airlines might have a greater incentive to ensure that bags are not lost.
