In this WSJ Opinion Journal piece former(?) Clintonista states:
Now, in the closing days of the Lieberman primary campaign, I have reluctantly concluded that I was wrong. The far right does not have a monopoly on bigotry and hatred and sanctimony.Isn't it a bigoted attitude to assume that only one side of the political spectrum is bigoted?
Later in the article, the often-quoted reason for voting against Lieberman:
Most Connecticut Democrats voting for Mr. Lamont are genuinely outraged at President Bush for his Iraq War policies. How voting against a Connecticut Democrat sends a message to Pres. Bush has never been made clear. It would seem that voting against Lieberman because he voted for the Iraqi war, and continues to rationally suggest that we should not leave the country in the short term, is trying to rewind history - which last time I took note isn't really possible.
