Much like NASA celebrates the fact that the Shuttle can land - whoopee!!! - academics celebrate the little things in the struggle to get published.
Today's snail mail provided two boosts to my fragile-flower ego:
1. Notification that my Reserve Clause paper was not outright rejected by the Journal of Law and Economics - we made it past the editors and into the referee process. This doesn't sound like much, but the JLE is one of the best journals in the world and I have never made it past the editors before. Yeah!!
2. Notification that the editors at the Scottish Journal of Political Economy invite a revise and resubmit of my Blood Alcohol Content paper. I haven't had a chance to carefully read the referee reports, but I hope to do what is required.
