Hailing from UGA, anything that gets Techsters (Georgia Tech students) in the shorts gives me a hoot. Picked this up over the web:
Before a football game against Georgia Tech in 1896, Auburn University students greased the tracks at their town's railroad station. When the Georgia Tech team arrived, some accounts say, it took their train 10 miles to come to a stop, and the players had to hike that distance back to the field.
UGA and Auburn have our own rivalry thing going on, more like competitive brothers because the two schools are close and have a lot of cross-over relationships. If true, those Auburn kids did it right.
Where are the good pranks these days?
