The future at UTA?

We are undergoing a major software change using PeopleSoft to completely recreate the university's record keeping, administration, registration, etc. It has always sounded like a bad idea to me, but then what do I know.

Turns out Cleveland State University might be able to tell us a thing or two about using PeopleSoft and trusting the good folks at PeopleSoft...ooops, I mean Oracle...to know anything about how a university works.
Cleveland State University's "unfortunate experience" with PeopleSoft Inc. ended with the software firm agreeing to pay the university $4.25 million.

CSU, which announced the settlement Friday, blamed PeopleSoft for computer problems that snarled the university's financial aid and other services for more than two years, beginning in 1998.

I am sure we will have a lot of fun starting next year.
