Over at Skip Sauer's Sports Economist, Skip and his co-bloggers have been choosing sides in the upcoming Superbowl. Last week I picked the two winning teams correctly, so I am going to try it one more time.
Today's paper listed the Superbowl as the Pats by 6 1/2 points. I will take that action and then some - the Patriots will beat that spread.
The only way that Philadelphia is able to win is if they can stay within ten points in the first half. Unlike previous years in which championship game blowouts were followed by reasonably close Superbowls, I think this weekend's game will be watchable but not a nailbiter.
Here's my point prediction: New England 27 PHI 10.
