Institutes of (Our) Higher Learning?
Washington Post article detailing how traditional non-profit colleges are trying to block pending legislation in Congress that will make it easier to transfer credits from for-profit schools (think DeVry) to non-profits. Can you say barriers to entry? We non-profs are only institutes of our higher learning, not of someone else's higher learning. This is not uncommon, actually. A graduate student can transfer only up to nine hours to our Masters program - but only if the grad studies committee of the department approves.
