How many cameras are needed to take pictures of the Olympics?
I wonder what the socially optimal number of cameras is - especially when all the cameras are taking pictures of the same event, albeit from a slightly different angle. It is likely that having only one camera is not optimal, because of technical failures and so forth, but the marginal value of the last picture taken from two hundred cameras is likely very low.
